Factors Affecting the Cost

Colouring
Companies usually offer the standard colours of white, grey and black free of charge. Some may then charge for common, but non-standard colours such as cream and brown. These will be around £50 per panel.
Many companies also offer hundreds of colours listed on the RAL chart so you have an abundance of options to choose from. These bespoke RAL colours are painted specifically for the job. These will cost around £100 per panel.
You can use different colours for the internal and external faces of the doors, but remember this may mean you pay for 2 different colours.
A common trend is to match the colour of bifold doors with the brick shades used in your home.
Brand Used
Some of the common brands you’ll see companies mention include AluK and Schuco, Cortizo, Smarts System. These will vary slightly in price.
Faster Delivery
Some companies may be able to offer quicker delivery should you need your bifold doors to arrive urgently. Expect to pay around £100 extra within a week and £250 within 48 hours.

Are Cills Needed?

Are Trickle Vents Needed?
Trickle vents are devices positioned at the top of a doorway to allow air to flow through them. They improve air quality within the house and help reduce condensation and mould growth.
If you are replacing old doors and windows with new and the outgoing windows have trickle vents already, then the new windows will also require them.
If you are building a new extension current Building Regulations require you to provide ventilation. Trickle vents are one solution. Others are air bricks, purge ventilation, extraction or other approved method.
